Fred Neal Davis, 88, passed away on August 10, 2022, in McKinney, Texas. He was born in Leonard, Texas to John Dee. Davis and Carrie Marie (Cooper) Davis on July 30, 1934. He was an honorable veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Frankfurt Germany from 1956 - 1958 as a military policeman and earned a corporal ranking.
Fred will be remembered by his son, Jimmy Davis of Allen, Texas; daughter, Susie Moore and husband, Tim, of Garland, Texas; son, Fred Davis of Leonard Texas; daughter, Krista Davis of Sherman, Texas; grandchildren, Shawn Davis and wife, Danielle; Chantelle Davis, Amber Henderson and husband, John; Hunter Hines, Riley Hines; Greg Davis, Cody Weber and wife, Tiffany of Canton Texas; great grandchildren; Harper, Paisley, Evelynn Davis, Avery, Emma and Major Henderson; Emily and Danielle Davis, Kate Davis, and Colby and Ryan Weber; sister, Luta Lilly and husband, Bill, of Plano, Texas, and multiple nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by his parents, John Dee and Carrie Davis; James Franklin Davis, Leona May Davis, Cara Dee Davis, Billie Faye Huntington, John Harold Davis, Greg Davis, Alexia Hines and Grayson Davis.
Fred was remembered most for his story telling, fishing, bird and coon hunting, collecting antiques, ranching/farming, attending horse cutting shows and eating homemade ice cream.
A graveside service for Fred will be held at 10 A.M., Friday, August 12, 2022, at Leonard Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service are Jimmy Davis, Shawn Davis, Hunter Hines, Carlisle Mott, JT Flanagan, Craig Flanagan, Billy Harold Davis, and John Randall Davis. John Dennis will be officiating the service and songs will be rendered by Charles Wrenn.
