Frankie Marie Lucas, age 81, of Fairview, Texas, passed away October 5, 2011, in McKinney. Frankie was born April 16, 1930, in McKinney, Texas, to Leslie Clay and Lucille (Watkins) Cates. She married Jack Elmore Lucas on September 9, 1949, in Dallas, Texas. Frankie attended McKinney schools. She worked for Allstate Insurance, AH Robbins, and Texas Instruments. Frankie loved traveling, sightseeing, watching sporting events, particularly the Cowboys, and especially loved visiting her son and grandson. She was of the Presbyterian faith. She is survived by her son, Stan Lucas and wife, Cheryl of Langhorne, Pennsylvania; grandson, Jason Lucas also of Langhorne, Pennsylvania; brothers, Don Cates and wife, Donna of Garland, Texas and Dickie Joe Cates of Durant, Oklahoma; and numerous other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Lucas, parents, Leslie Clay and Lucille (Watkins) Cates, and brothers, Milton Cates and Johnny Mac Cates. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 9, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
