Frank P. Giannattasio Sr. 84 a former resident of Stamford, Connecticut passed away peacefully on August 2, 2018 in McKinney Texas. He was born on June 29, 1934 in Stamford, Connecticut to the late Frank and Minnie Bria Giannattasio. Frank aka “Mr. Trash” pioneered the commercial dumpster business in Stamford in the 1950’s. He had owned and operated G&G Waste Systems along with several other businesses in the Stamford and Norwalk area.
Frank is survived by his children, Frank Jr. along with his wife, Carol of Dallas, Texas, Mickey Giannattasio of Norwalk, Connecticut, Ericka Trojanowski along with her husband, Jason of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Wendy Gault along with her husband, Mark of Stamford, Connecticut and Robin Solow of Connecticut. He loved his grandchildren, Michelle G. Kuhar and husband Paul along with their four children, Pj, Frankie, Anthony, and Madison of McKinney, Texas, Mickey Jr, Danny and Brandy Giannattasio of Norwalk, Connecticut, Berkeley and Penelope Trojanowski of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Sara and Gary Weidenbacher of Stamford, Connecticut and Jamie and Randy Solow of Connecticut; brother, Richard; and several nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Marie White and brother John Giannattasio.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., August 3, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 North Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Stamford, Connecticut.
