Frank Mark Kieffer of Frisco, Texas passed away on August 22, 2021 at the age of 76. He was born on November 14, 1944 at Bay Ridge Hospital in Brooklyn, New York to Frank Robert Kieffer and Margaret (Hutcheson) Kieffer and two older sisters, Marje and Nancy. Frank attended school in Brooklyn until 1954. Frank graduated from Uniondale (L.I.) High School in 1962. He graduated from the Missouri School of Mines in 1966 with a B.S. in Geology.
In September 1969, Frank substitute taught for two months at Lawrence Road Junior High School. There he met the love of his life Aurelia Santolla and on August 16, 1970 they were married and moved to Rolla Missouri. In October 1971, he took a job at Cities Service Oil Company. Frank worked as a geologist for the next 17 years for various companies including JM Huber, Bass Enterprises, and TXO Production. In 1989, Frank began working for Arcadis Geraghty and Miller and then finally for Lone Wolf Resources before retiring in 2009.
While in Midland, Frank volunteered for St. Vincent De Paul Society and worked in the food pantry at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. He was involved in the City of Midland Swim Team (“COM”) for years when his children swam. In 2012, Frank and Aurelia moved to Frisco, Texas to be near their grandchildren.
Frank and Aurelia were blessed with 4 children – Christopher, Catrina, Craig, and Curt. Frank is survived by his wife of 51 years, Aurelia; son, Christopher; daughter, Catrina and husband, Adam and children, Jackson and Chance, and his son Curt and his wife, Mariann and children, Josephine and Creed.
Frank was preceded in death by his son, Craig Robert in 1989, his parents and his two sisters.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2021 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 110 St. Gabriel Way, McKinney, Texas 75071.
