Frank Edward Kripaitis of McKinney, Texas passed away on June 10, 2022 at the age of 76. He was born on April 21, 1946 to Alfred and Ruby (Piccirillo) Kripaitis in Brooklyn, New York. Frank married Kathleen Ciarlo on February 22, 1969 in Brooklyn, New York.
Frank received a full scholarship to the New York School of Visual Arts and went on to work at the prestigious Ogilvy & Mather ad agency before moving his family to Texas in 1984 to work at Dr Pepper in their ad department. He had a lifelong obsession with the arts and amassed an enormous collection of books on his favorite artists throughout his life. His favorite afternoon was spent in bookstores searching for his next treasure. Later in life, he loved spending time working on his garden and creating fascinating sculptures of found objects. He was a quick wit and a curious mind that never stopped wanting to learn.
He is survived by his daughter, Becky Kripaitis of McKinney, Texas; son, Justin Kripaitis of McKinney; brother, Melvin Kripaitis of Brooklyn, New York; and numerous other loving family and friends. He will be sorely missed and was truly loved.
Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathie. Kathie left this world weeks before him to get his final resting place ready for him as she’s done her whole life. When he could no longer live in a world without her, he followed. As he always said, they really did dig each other. 143.
