Frank Hamous, age 87, of Farmers Branch, Texas, passed away April 2, 2016. He was born September 6, 1928, in Coushatta, Louisiana to Elvis Lee and Mary (Wren) Hamous. On July 13, 1958, Frank married Melba Dean Jones in Lake Providence, Louisiana. He was a sheet metal worker and retired from Paris Sheet Metal in 2004. Frank proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of Valwood Park Baptist Church in Farmers Branch, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Melba Hamous of Farmers Branch, Texas; sons, Jody B. Hamous and wife Dana of Corinth, Texas, Glenn E. Hamous of Carrollton, Texas, Justin E. Hamous and wife Angie of The Colony, Texas; brother, Terry Hamous and wife Beryl of Bossier City, Louisiana; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents Elvis Frank and Mary Hamous and sister, Micel Layfield.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Valwood Park Baptist Church, 2727 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at the church.
