Frank Davies of McKinney, Texas, passed away on May 6, 2024, at the age of 81. He was born to W. Frank Davies and Antoinette Crowell Davies in Suffern, New York, on August 25, 1942.
Frank pursued his passion for education at Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina, where he earned his degree in education. His dedication to teaching led him to impact the lives of many as he served as a teacher at the school at Camp Lejeune Marine Base for a decade.
In 1976, Frank embarked on a new journey with Aflac, where he held many positions, but the leadership role of State Sales Coordinator (SSC) of Texas North was where he made the biggest impact. Frank was an SSC for over 16 years and grew his sales team by 25% every year for the last 13 years he held that role. His state of Texas North went from $2.9M to $62M. He received numerous awards, FAMEs, Convention 22 years, and President’s Club 15 years and President’s Club Board of Directors his last year as an SSC before accepting the role of Vice President, Territory Director of the newly formed Southwest Territory in 2003.
Frank retired in 2004 and was inducted to the Aflac Hall of Fame in 2005, an honor he cherished and held very proudly.
On May 17, 1997, Frank married the love of his life, Barbara Wade, in a union that brought him immense joy and companionship. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Frank was a people person and a leader. He loved people and helping them achieve the potential he saw in them. It didn’t matter to him where they lived or with which territory or state they were associated. He loved to see people succeed. Wherever he was, he was giving instructions and if it happened to be you, you were now the wiser.
Golf was his passion and he was blessed to play in many of the notorious courses around the world. This gave him a platform for his jokes since he had a captive audience. We will all miss that contagious laugh!
Frank is survived by wife, Barbara Davies of McKinney, Texas, sons; Craig Davies of Flower Mound, Texas and Tee Davies and wife, Leslie of Greenville North Carolina; stepdaughters, Katie Wade of Richardson Texas and Abbey Wade of Richardson Texas; grandchildren, Townsend Davies, Pierce Davies, Hayden Rogers; and other numerous loving family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robbie Davies; and daughter-in-law, Pamela Davies.
The Davies family would like to thank Brythaven Senior Living, Monarch Hospice and a very heartfelt thank you to his loving and compassionate caregiver for more than three years, Allyon Abete.
