Mrs. Frances Ray Shewmake-Mayes, age 57, of McKinney, Texas, passed away October 20, 2005, in McKinney. She was born June 8, 1948, to Thomas Raymond and Berneice (Lowery) Shewmake. On April 10, 1971, she married Andy Mayes in McKinney. Mrs. Mayes was a hair stylist and of the Church of God faith. She is survived by her husband, Andy Mayes of McKinney, Texas; son, Matthew Jameson Mayes and wife, Brandy Dawn; grandsons, Thomas Micah Mayes and Brett Oakley Mayes, both of McKinney; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Mayes of Frisco, Texas; sisters-in-law, Dana and Jill; and many nieces and nephews. Her parents and son, Micah Mayes, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 22, 2005, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with James Short officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M., Friday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
