IN LOVING MEMORY

Frances Lucille Steed

Nov 15 1929 - Sep 11 2026

The most wonderful mother in the world, Frances Lucille Steed departed this Earth for her Heavenly home on September. 11,2026. Born on November 15, 1929, in Hebron, Texas, to her loving parents, Ralph and Elvie Madden. On June 11, 1947, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Seth "Skip" Steed, in Rockwall, Texas, beginning a lifelong journey of love and shared values. Together they raised 5 children.  Frances was a Mom, homemaker, and avid church member. Frances poured her heart into serving her faith community.

Long before there were Youth Directors, she helped First Baptist Church with the youth, she brought continuous joy and connection to many young people, with cookouts, and hayrides and church parties. Her commitment to youth extended into the classroom where she was as a room parent for many years and thoroughly enjoyed all of it!

Above all else, Frances's children and family were her world. She was the quintessential presence in their lives-always ready with a station-wagon full of kids, leading Thursday roller-skating outings, summer trips to the lake, and offering unwavering love and support at every turn.

She will be forever missed.

Frances is survived by her loving children: Rodney Steed and wife Tommie, Linda Evans, Kathy Hill, Sally Steed and husband Bill Woolf, and Peggy Hickman and husband Chris. She also leaves behind a lasting legacy through her 11 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Elvie Madden, and her beloved husband, Seth "Skip" Steed.
