Frances "Quica" Lechuga Hunkapiller

January 29, 1943 - March 14, 2018

Frances “Quica” Hunkapiller of McKinney, Texas passed away March 14, 2018, at the age of 75. She was born January 29, 1943, to Ismael Lechuga and Paula Sanchez in Chihuahua, Mexico.  Frances married Jerry Leon Hunkapiller on January 25, 1969, in Mexico. 

She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Hunkapiller and wife Shayna of McKinney, Texas and Jerry Lee Hunkapiller of Brock, Texas; grandchildren, Blade McConnell, Gage McConnell, Bryce Hunkapiller, Grayson Hunkapiller, and Briggs Hunkapiller; sisters, Coty Dominguez, Malena Licoln, Concha Lechuga, Tencha Cazares, Chelo Reza, Martha Lechuga, Rocio Lechuga, Mayte Lechuga, and brother Marco Lechuga. 

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Leon Hunkapiller, parents, brother, Ismael Lechuga, sister, Tere Gomez and daughter-in-law, Wendy Hunkapiller. 

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 19, 2018 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 110 St. Gabriel Way, McKinney, Texas 75071.  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.  A rosary is set for 7:00 p.m.

Memorials may be made to St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church Building Fund, 110 St. Gabriel Way, McKinney, Texas 75071.

We loved her so much. Did not know of her passing until Easter Sunday. Prayer for her boys and grandkids. She was so proud of her boys. Love for all.
