Frances Bernice Harlow, age 87, formerly of Dallas, Texas, passed away on September 11, 2016. Ms. Harlow was born on April 19, 1929, in Weston, Texas to Jesse Avant and Clara (Van Hooser) Harlow. She attended the country school at Warden until it closed and students were transferred to Anna High School in Anna, Texas, where she graduated. For 37 years she was employed by Sherwin-Williams Paint Mfg. in Garland, Texas, where she was a clerical staff assistant. After retiring she moved to McKinney, Texas to be near her family. She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her sister, Jackie Harlow Burch of Bonham, Texas; brothers, Haley Harlow, Sr. of Melissa, Texas, Leonard Harlow of Anna, Texas, and Billy Joe Harlow of McKinney, Texas; eighteen nieces and nephews; thirty great nieces and nephews; numerous great-great nieces and nephews; also two sisters-in-law, Edith Harlow of Prairie Village, Kansas and Judy Harlow of Anna, Texas.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Avant and Clara Harlow; brothers, Arlis Harlow, L.B. Harlow, Dudley Harlow, Don Harlow and Leon (Ob) Harlow.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Weston, Texas under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
Frances dearly loved her family and especially enjoyed arranging family get togethers, trips and traveling with family members. A loving and cheerful person, she will be greatly missed by family and friends.
