Forrest J. Hendrick of Sachse, Texas passed away on November 29, 2022 at the age of 76. He was born on December 9, 1945 to Wilbur Forrest and Vera Viola (Chapman) Hendrick in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Forrest was raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he graduated from North East High School. Immediately after graduating high school, Forrest went to Oklahoma University in pursuit of his engineering degree. Shortly before graduating, Forrest met his wife, Lynda and they spent the next 53 years as a married couple together. Their family started with the birth of their daughter, Christine, then their son, Christian joined with Sarah and Renee joining the family after. During that time, Forrest worked for Lockheed Martin for 37 years and Western Electric for 7 years before that. Lynda and their kids could not have asked for a better partner and father. He was always their to support his family and made sure they knew of his love for them. Forrest also loved the Lord, as can be seen in his bible study and volunteering at their church, Birchman Baptist as a greeter and usher. Forrest loved to sing and have fun. He had fun in all his work; but what brought him the most joy was his family.
Forrest is survived by his wife, Lynda Hendrick of Sachse, Texas; daughter, Christine Cavitt of Jackson, Mississippi; son, Christian Hendrick and wife, Shawna, missionaries in the Democratic Republic of Congo; daughter, Sarah Hendrick Reuter and husband, John of Boston, Massachusetts; daughter, Renee Congleton and husband, Jason of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Violet, Ezekiel, Xavier, and Dax; sister, Gayla Hope of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and many other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janelle Price.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2022 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
