Floyd Edwin Loupot

Floyd Edwin Loupot better known as Uncle Floyd of Allen, Texas passed away on January 27, 2022 at the age of 99. He was born on June 8, 1922 to Emil and May (Howell) Loupot. Floyd was the youngest of four children who grew up on the dairy farm in Oak Cliff, Texas.

He followed his brother’s footsteps and attended Texas A&M University before joining Merchant Marines where he served his country.

Floyd started work at Bulldog Electric in Dallas, TX which took him Detroit, MI for a short time before making the move to California for new opportunities. While in California for 60 years, buying a Miracle Ear office he got deeply involved in the hearing aid business eventually becoming the President of the National Hearing Aid Society. In addition Floyd became involved in real estate and partnership with four convalescent homes in and around the Pasadena, California area. His passion for travel carried him to most places around the world often times with his sister. One of his most memorable trips was a mission trip to Africa where he provided hearing aids to all ages who had never been able to hear.

He is survived by his nephew, Judson Loupot and wife, Phyllis of College Station, Texas; and by nine great nieces and nephews, twenty-three great great nieces and nephews, and ten great great great nieces and nephews.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents Emil and May Loupot; brothers, Judson and Victor Loupot, sister, Mae Pearl Maples and husband M.N. (Son) Maples, and six nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 20922 at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North in Allen.

Committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Texas Lions Camp at lionscamp.com to help children with Physical Disabilities, Type 1 Diabetes, Downsyndrome, and Cancer or the charity of your choice.
