IN LOVING MEMORY

Floyd Thomas "Tommy" Howard

Jan 30 1948 - Mar 31 2021

Floyd Thomas Howard (always known as Tommy) of Farmersville, Texas passed into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ on March 31, 2021 at the age of 73.  He was born on January 30, 1948 to Dumas Howard and Kate (Davis) Howard in Frisco, Texas where he spent most of his childhood before moving to Carrollton/Farmers Branch. On February 28, 1981 Tommy married Janet Trotter in The Colony, Texas.  The majority of his career was spent in Manufacturing (over 18 years at Otis Engineering followed by Chromalloy, Associated Springs, DelFasco, Primo Microphones, and Airflow Systems) during which time he earned his Associates Degree in Quality Control/Assurance.  In 1991 he moved to Farmersville, back to his country roots where he was able to do what he loved, working the land, raising cattle, establishing his retirement dream.  Not a stranger to hard work, Tommy loved being outdoors, working with his hands building, repairing anything and maintaining the home that he loved.  Tommy was a devout Christian who loved serving his Lord.  He was a cherished husband, proud father, devoted grandfather, and loving brother.

Tommy is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Janet Howard of Farmersville, Texas; sons, Stacy Howard of Carrollton, Texas and Steve Howard of Colleyville, Texas; grandsons, Zach Howard and Zane Howard and their mother, Shelly Howard, all of Arlington, Texas; brothers Jack Howard and wife, Louise of Denton, Texas and Jamie Howard and wife, Terri of Lewisville, Texas; and sisters Linda Osborne of Leesburg, Texas and Barbara Bengston and husband, Earl of Gainesville, Texas; and a host of other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dumas and Kate Howard and brothers, Gerald Howard and Billy Howard.

A private memorial service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.  A video recording of the service will be uploaded when available. Follow this link to view the recorded service. https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/floyd-thomas-tommy-howard
