Floyd "Mac" McIntosh

Floyd “Mac” McIntosh of Fairview, Texas passed away on September 15, 2020 at the age of 88. He was born April 3, 1932 to John Lawrence McIntosh and Dorothy Grace Campbell in Chicago, Illinois. Mac graduated from McAllen High School in 1950. He served in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1953. Mac married Peggy Inez Haak on June 4, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas.  Mac was in the surety bond business for over 66 years. He started with Trinity surety in 1954. His next stop was as Bond Manager for Transamerica from 1964 until 1972. He joined Seaboard surety and was with them until his retirement in 1992. Mac restarted his surety career as a surety agent until his death in 2020. Mac was highly respected in this industry and his legacy will live on forever.  He was of Methodist Faith.

Mac is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Peggy McIntosh of Fairview, Texas; children, Deborah Kay Brown and husband, Neil of Wylie, Texas, Michael Lee McIntosh of Allen, Texas, Jeffrey Todd McIntosh and wife, Lynn of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Robyn Brown, Clay Brown, Trevor McIntosh, Nicole McIntosh and her fiancé, Kenneth Callis; great-granddaughter, Tatum Grace Callis; and a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Young and Carroll Whitlock; brother, Wayne McIntosh.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013 and will also be live streamed on the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Facebook page and a recorded video will be available following the funeral service on Mac’s obituary page.

In support of our local, state, and federal government including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only the first 100 of family and friends will be allowed to attend the Celebration of Life.

However, when the maximum number of guests are reached, those who would like to honor Mac and show their support to his family may watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone).
