Floyd M. Terrell of Plano, Texas passed away at the age of 89 on October 14, 2023. He was born on March 28, 1934 to Floyd Monroe and Essie (Hulen) Terrell in Cleburne, Texas. Floyd was raised in Cleburne, Texas. He married a young lady he knew in high school, when they were 15 and 16, Mary Ann Jones, and followed her and her family to Missouri. They came back to Fort Worth, Texas and were blessed with their daughter, Catherine. The couple moved along the west coast, looking for work and their son, Mike, was born in California. The family moved to New Mexico and then back to Fort Worth where their daughter, Kayla was born. Shortly after, the family moved to Plano where Floyd started his plumbing company, Terrell Plumbing, on 14th Street in Plano. Floyd worked and served the Plano community at one time serving 70% of the Plano community.
In 2006, Floyd married Pauline, and they have been together ever since. Floyd was a very loving father and grandfather. He never met a stranger and loved telling stories to those who would listen. Floyd’s kids and grandkids were never without or left wanting for his time and attention.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Alma Pauline Terrell, of Plano, Texas; son, Michael Floyd Terrell and wife, Vanda of Kalispell, Montana; children, Paulette, Roy, and Alma Jo; son-in-law, Charles Anderson of Princeton, Texas; grandchildren, Christopher, Shawna, Nathan, Brittany, Ann, Misty, Michelle, Jeanie, Chris, Amy, and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Maria, April, Sonya, Michael, Tanner, Rylynn, Layne, Brook, Ashley, Amber, Shelbi, Payton, Chris, Ashley, Dalton, Addysin, Jace and Presley; great-great-grandchildren, Cruz and Jhett; and a host of other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers and sister; daughters, Catherine Ann Dunkel and Kayla Terrell Anderson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 20, 2023, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
