Floyd Dawson Medlock, Jr. born on February 19, 1941, in Hodges, AL to Audie and Floyd Medlock passed away on November 27, 2004, after battling cancer. Floyd (Junior) was a master plumber and owner of Medlock Plumbing Co. in the Plano area for over 40 years. He was a strong, loyal, caring, hardworking man who dearly loved his family. Junior was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved camping, spending time outdoors and trips to the casino. His hobby was building homes and driving his tractor. His family adored and doted on him. He loved spending time with family especially his grandchildren. Floyd is preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Albrecht; sister, Wilma Brewer; and brother, Wayne Medlock. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Becky of Farmersville; his daughters who worshipped him Cathy Kraatz of Plano, Lisa Medlock of McKinney, Tracy McLaughlin of Maryland and Suzan Weeks of Van Alstyne; Papa to 10 wonderful grandchildren, Billy, Lynsey, Heather, Junior, Cory Danielle, Shannon, Kelly, Tory and Jack; his devoted son-in-laws, Billy, Keith, Bob and Nick; brothers, James Medlock of Ft. Worth and Buddy Medlock of Missouri; sisters, Sue Griffing of Missouri and Christine Chavez of Tennessee; numerous nieces and nephews. Floyd will be dearly missed by all who knew him. We will cherish our memories of him forever. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, November 29, 2004, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Sunday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
