Florine "Flo" Bly

October 21, 1924 - June 29, 2016

Florine “Flo” (Christian) Bly of Plano, Texas passed away on June 29, 2016 at the age of 91.  She was born on October 21, 1924 to James Garva Lewis and Hattie Mae (Jennings) Christian in Plano, Texas.  Flo married Glendell Eugene Bly on November 26, 1944 in Plano, Texas.  Flo worked in the insurance department of Medical Plaza Hospital in Sherman. After retirement, she was very active and went back to school and studied theology.  She was an avid 42 player, volunteered with Meals on Wheels and loved to dance. Flo had been a resident of Appletree Court Assisted Living for the last four years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Plano.

Flo is survived by her daughter, Robin Bly Jordan of Plano, Texas; son, Larry Glenn Bly and wife Terry also of Plano; grandchildren, Amy Garcia, Johnnie Rowland, Ryan Rowland, Lauren Rowland, Katelyn Ann Bly and Jared Bly; great-grandchildren, Avery, Harper and Levi; sisters, Pat Drumm of Plano and Glenda Christian of De Leon; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Glenn Bly; and her son, Jeffrey Bly.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home chapel in Allen, Texas.  Interment will follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery in Plano, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Saturday, July 2, 2016 to pay their respects and to sign the register book.

Larry & Robin, Want you to know that you & your family are in my prayers!! Please cherish all the wonderful memories that will put a smile on your face! She told me about Jefferys passing. I also Asked about Glenda.Asked about Florine and she was still going strong. And the last I spoke to Patsy ,Florine went to an assistant home living.
