Flora Aguilar Torres, age 72, of Farmersville, Texas, passed away on June 8, 2016 in McKinney, Texas. She was born on May 1, 1944 in Durango, Mexico to Jesus Aguilar and Juana Novella Chavez. Flora was a homemaker. She loved to spend time with the family, loved to cook and also liked to go shopping.
She is survived by her husband, Manuel Torres, Sr.; children, Willie Torres and wife Pam, Jesse Torres, Manuel Torres, Jr., Janie Torres, Martin Torres and Billie Bridges; grandchildren, Garett Torres, Rylea Torres, Maritssa Rivera, Teresa Torres, Luis Bolivar, and Violet Torres; parents, Jesus Aguilar Chavez and Juana Novella Alarcon Chavez, brother and sister-in-law, Polo and Raquel Aguilar, sister and brother-in-law, Maria De Jesus de Vargas and Alvaro Vargas.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Elezar Aguilar.
A rosary will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville, Texas. A visitation will follow from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Wylie. Father Anthony B. Densmore will officiate. Interment will follow in I. O. O. F. Cemetery in Farmersville, Texas.
