IN LOVING MEMORY

Fernando “Big Brother” Rodriguez Jr.

Dec 27 1977 - Dec 30 2023

In the city of Chicago, Illinois, Fernando Rodriguez Sr. and Elida Rodriguez met, starting a life together that continued when they moved to Houston, Texas, where Fernando Jr. was born. At the young age of 18, Elida found newfound purpose and responsibility upon her son's arrival, recognizing the profound impact of motherhood.

From a young age, Fernando Jr., affectionately known as “Big Brother”, displayed a sweet, obedient, and kind nature, evolving into an adventurous and creative spirit. His love for swords, knives, and play fighting, coupled with a vivid imagination, remained constant throughout his life. Early on, he sensed spiritual battles, sharing dreams and visions of fighting for a greater purpose. Elida recognized him as a warrior, grappling with both physical and spiritual struggles.

Big Brother had a distinct passion for mythology, particularly the battle between good and evil. His interests extended to Warhammer, rare comics, sci-fi, and his beloved cat, Baby Girl. In addition to his unique hobbies, he was a teddy bear at heart, embodying gentleness, and kindness. His small circle of friends became family, and he devoted himself to supporting others through life’s ups and downs.

His life's purpose, fulfilled through unwavering support and love for others, left a lasting impact. Big Brother is preceded in death by his grandparents, Francisco and Oralia Rodriguez, Manuel and Elisa Salinas, and uncle, Francisco Rodriguez Jr. He will be missed by his parents, Fernando Sr. and Elida Rodriguez, sister, Zellia Rodriguez, his many cousins, and numerous friends and family who love him dearly.
