Faye M. Mangum of McKinney, Texas passed away on June 8, 2019 at the age of 77. She was born on December 19, 1941 to Thomas and Mary (Adamson) Scott in Pinebluff, Arkansas. On July 13, 1985 she married James Troy Mangum in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. She loved her children and grandchildren and she was known as Granny to all. Everyone was welcome at her table for a warm meal and a glass of lemonade.
Faye is survived by her stepdaughter, Kathy Williams of Farmersville, Texas; stepson, Brent Mangum of Melissa, Texas; daughter, Bonnie Rollins of McKinney, Texas; son, Jeff Butler and wife, Kim of Lindale, Texas; son, Scott Butler and wife, Cindy of Blue Ridge, Texas; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; brother, J.B. Scott and wife, Karen of Texarkana, Texas; sister, Marie Brown of Trenton, Texas; sister, Connie Carter and husband, Eddie of Texarkana, Arkansas; and numerous other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Troy Mangum; son, Jimmy Butler; and parents, Thomas Edward and Mary Lou Scott.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Melissa Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
