Fanny Cardona

Fanny Cardona, of McKinney, Texas passed away at 4:42 p.m. on October 6, 2019, at her residence in the loving and nurturing company of her husband and her immediate family.  She was born on May 11, 1936 in Armenia, Quindio, Colombia to Anselmo and Maria Teresa Anzola.  Fanny was married to Arcesio Cardona on July 17, 1954.

She emigrated as a permanent U.S. resident in 1966 and became a U.S. citizen in the 1980s. Fanny spent most of her life living and working in New York State.  She relocated to McKinney, Texas in June 2013.  Among her hobbies were gardening, which was her favorite, sewing and embroidery, which she enjoyed tremendously.

She is survived by her husband, Arcesio Cardona; children, Jorge Ivan Cardona, Julian Cardona and Martha Isabel Brand, as well as grandchildren, daughters-in law; son-in-law; sister, Margoth Anzola; several nieces; nephews; and cousins.

Fanny was preceded in death by her sons, Allan Cardona and Mario Hernan Cardona.

A remembrance gathering will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, October 11, 2019 at St. Marks The Evangelist Catholic Church, 1201 Alma Drive, Plano, TX 75075.
