Fannie Mae (Aaron) Gidney of Corpus Christi, Texas formerly of McKinney, Texas passed away on September 17, 2018 at the age of 92. She was born on January 29, 1926 to J.P. and Eva (Dudley) Aaron in Denton County, Texas. Fannie married Sam R. Gidney on March 19, 1944 in Celina, Texas. She was a member of Chambersville Methodist Church where she was the church secretary and treasurer for over 50 years. Fannie retired from Texas Instruments after 33 years. She loved to travel, visiting Hawaii, Australia, the Mediterranean and Europe. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Fannie is survived by her sons, Kenneth R. Gidney and wife, Vicki of Corpus Christi, Texas and Ronald K. Gidney and wife, Pam of Wylie, Texas; grandchildren, Clay Gidney and wife, Emelia and Sammi Morrill and husband, Lance; great-grandchildren, Payton Gidney, Wyatt Gidney, Lily Morrill and Nate Morrill; sisters, Emma Hawkins and husband, Stanley, Kathy McDonald and Linda Taylor; brother, David Aaron; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.P. & Eva Aaron; her husband, Sam R. Gidney; three brothers; and four sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 21, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
