Faith Hanlon

Faith Pettit Hanlon, age 94, of McKinney, Texas, formerly of Sherwood, Maryland, passed away on October 3, 2016 in McKinney, Texas.  She was born February 11, 1922 in Kansas City, Missouri to Louis and Lillian Leinger Pettit.  She was a devoted housewife and she assisted her husband in Washington, D.C. at Hennage Lithography.  Faith graduated from American University and received her degree in Art.  She was very active in Y. M. C. A.  Her husband, Bill, built and dedicated, in her honor, the Faith P. Hanlon, Chesapeake Bay log sailing canoe in 1976. 

She is survived by; daughter, Dena Klevan and husband Joel of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren; Loraine Kemp and husband Brent of Farmersville, Texas; Valerie Kovar of McKinney, Texas; great-grandchildren; Austin Kemp, Steven Kovar and Victoria Kovar.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Charles Hanlon in 2016.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Ridgewood Senior Living, 2204 Ridgewood Drive, McKinney, Texas 75071.
