Fairest Faye Jefferson, age 56, of McKinney, Texas passed away January 10, 2008, in Plano, Texas. She was born July 29, 1951, in New Boston, Texas, the daughter of S. G. and Dora (Henderson) Griffin. On June 17, 1973, she married Roger J. Jefferson in Collin County, Texas. Mrs. Jefferson worked for Fisher Controls and was an active member of Greater Hope Church of God in Christ. She is survived by her husband of thirty-four years, Roger; daughters, Whitney Jefferson of McKinney, Monica Thornton of Dallas, Tonya Clarke of Tampa, FL, and Carevette Miller of Frisco; god-daughter, Sharon Tarver of Plano; sisters, Annie Jones of McKinney, Marilyn Forte of Dallas, Equilla Griffin of McKinney and Diane Griffin of McKinney; brothers, Eugene Griffin of McKinney, James E. Griffin of McKinney, Howard Griffin of McKinney, M.C. Griffin of McKinney, Cecil Griffin of California, James Griffin of McKinney and Rufis Griffin of McKinney; two grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, S. G. Griffin, Jr. and Charles Ray Griffin; sister, Mary H. Moore; and god-son, Devenchae Tarver. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Pastor Coy C. Tarver officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening at Greater Hope Church of God in Christ, 1207 Anthony Street, McKinney, TX 75069, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
