F.H. "Dick" Dickson

F.H. “Dick” Dickson, age 74, of Dallas, Texas passed away December 27, 2006, in Richardson, Texas. He was born August 8, 1932, in Painesville, Ohio, and on March 20, 1959, he married Barbara Summers in Columbus, Ohio. Dick served in the U.S. Navy as a Radio Operator and was a veteran of the Korean War. He graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering in 1956 and in 1962 found his way to Dallas to work for Collins Radio and later Rockwell-Collins He retired after 28 years of hard work and dedication. He held other positions post retirement and stayed active with his wife Barb in the Richardson and Dallas communities. Dick leaves behind a legacy of family, love, selflessness and true grit. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have crossed his path in life. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Dickson of Dallas, Texas; children, Susan Otey and husband, David of Littleton, Colorado, David Dickson and wife, Lisa of Dallas and Dr. Robert Dickson and wife, Joanie of Longview, Texas; grandchildren, Sarah Jane, Barbara and Sydney Otey of Littleton, Colorado, William, Robert, Carl and David Jr. Dickson of Dallas and Austin, Katie and Charlie Dickson of Longview; and his beloved dog Frannie. A memorial service will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas at 3:00 PM on Tuesday January 2, 2007. Visitation to follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Directors. In Lieu of flowers donations in Dick’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army.
