Everett Dale Glines of McKinney, Texas passed away on May 31, 2024 at the age of 88. He was born to loving parents, Everett Anzley Glines and Ethel Dail (Perry) Glines on December 9, 1935 in Friendswood, Texas.
Everett graduated from Friendswood High School and went on to earn a bachelor degree in business from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. His career brought him to McKinney, Texas, where he dedicated 32 and a half years to JCPenney, ultimately relocating and reopening the store from downtown McKinney to Westgate.
In 1983, Everett married Martha Sue Ligon in Dallas, Texas, and together they built a life full of love and cherished memories. After retiring from JCPenney, Everett pursued his passion for antiques, running his own business, Affordable Antiques and More, before transitioning to a successful career selling healthcare insurance. Everett was an active member of Genesis Church, where he found fellowship and spiritual fulfillment.
Everett is survived by beloved wife, Sue Glines of Mckinney, Texas; children, Sharolyn Candelario and husband David of Mckinney, Texas, Bryan Glines and wife Chondra of Katy, Texas, Chad Rodgers and wife Chrissy of Little Elm, Texas, Jason Rodgers and wife Missy of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Josh Candelario, Kaela Candelario, Jeremy Glines, Jonathan Glines, Justin Glines, Colby Rodgers, Chase Rodgers, Hunter Rodgers, Sebastian Rodgers, Kaci McNabb, Brandon Erickson, Jordan Rodgers, Dylan Erickson, and Gracie Rodgers; great-grandson, Cannon McNabb; brother, Lester Glines and wife, Kris of Grapeland, Texas; sister, Bonnie Waite of Friendswood, Texas.
Everett was preceded in death by his father, Everett Anzley Glines; mother, Ethel Dail (Perry) Glines; wife, Martha Ann (Overman) Glines; brother, Robert Howard Glines; sister, Mary Frances Glines Whitt.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
