Evelyn Elizabeth (Jagours) Flores of McKinney, Texas passed away on June 8, 2017, at the age of 62. She was born November 17, 1954, to the parentage of Edward Eugene and Willie Juanita (Thomas) Jagours in McKinney. Evelyn grew up in McKinney and received her education from McKinney Public Schools. She met Bonafacio “Barney” T. Flores with whom she entered into holy matrimony on July 28, 1980, in McKinney. They experienced life, laughter and celebrated love together for over 37 years. To this union, Evelyn was afforded the privilege of becoming a loving second mother to Sandra, Sarah, Little Barney, Gina and Barbara. She owned and operated a cleaning service for many years. In her leisure, Evelyn enjoyed working and providing opportunities for kids of all ages at Barney and Me Boxing Gym in McKinney.
To love, cherish and celebrate her life, she leaves her loving husband, Barney Flores; son, Byron Jagours, daughter, Shannon Wynia; step-children, Sandra Zapata, Sarah Olvera, Little Barney Flores, Gina Flores, and Barbara Flores; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brother, John Dudley Jagours; sister, Mary Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, older brother, Charles Edward Jagours, and sister, Lillian Mack.
A celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 920 East 14th Street, Plano, Texas 75074. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
