Funeral Services for Evelyn “Sis” Fowler Garrett, 99 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 1:30 P.M. Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel of Leonard. Charles E. Wrenn will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family viewing and visitation is scheduled from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard.

“Sis” was born June 5, 1920 at Trenton. Her parents were James Albert and Minnie Mae Nolen Fowler. She married Kenneth Garrett February 17, 1946 at Van Alstyne. She was a homemaker and a member of the Blanton Chapel Methodist Church. She passed away at the Leonard Manor Sunday, August 25, 2019.

“Sis” is survived by a brother: E.J. Fowler of Grand Prairie. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews: Betonia Belt of Plainview, Lanny Barnett of Lockney, Dennis Fowler of Irving, Randall Fowler of Grand Prairie, Allan Fowler of Rowlett, Donna Fowler of Temple, James Barnes of Garland, Dawn Miller of Leonard, Edward T. Fowler, Jr. of Garland, Wanda Elliott of Bedford, Allan Reid of New York State and Sue Wise of Fort Worth.

In addition to her parents and her husband, “Sis” was preceded in death by an infant son, a nephew, Michael Janzen and her siblings, Edward T. “Buster” Fowler, Sr., Troy Fowler, “Eddie” Douglas, and Bonnie Eugene “Buck” Fowler.
