Mrs. Evelyn S. Cody, age 69, of Princeton, Texas passed away on February 25, 2004 in McKinney, Texas. She was born on May 30, 1934 to Emmitt W. and Grace L. (Shields) Whisenant in Allen, Texas. On January 1, 1955, she married Robert Isaac Cody in Farmersville, Texas. She worked for Haggard Clothing and was a member of the Melissa Church of God. She is survived by her husband, Robert; sons, Dwayne Cody of Princeton, Texas and Darrell Cody of Farmersville, Texas; daughter, Wanda Miller of Greenville, Texas; granddaughter, Shannon Moore of Greenville, Texas; grandsons, Thomas & Daniel Cody of Denison, Texas; sister, Dahlia Francisco of McKinney, Texas; many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Danny; grandson, Larry; and brother, Bill. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 28, 2004 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Kelly Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow at Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
