IN LOVING MEMORY

Esther "Beth" Williams

Nov 26 1936 - Dec 03 2022

Esther Opal (Biasatti)  Williams (Beth or Nana to those who knew and loved her), died peacefully on Saturday, December 3, 2022. She was born on November 26, 1936 to the late Enoch John and Ruthie (Dodd) Biasatti in Dallas, Texas. Beth is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, David Williams of Melissa, Texas; three children, Bettina (“Tina”) Lynn Bowling (Rudy Bowling) of Terrell, TX ,  Jeri Kay Calle (Thomas Calle) of Blue Ridge, Tx and Kevin Scott Martin (Patti Martin) of Oklahoma City, OK; her grandchildren, and great grandchildren; along with many adored, nephews, nieces and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, Santo and John and her sister Mary.  A memorial service will be held at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 10:00 am.

Beth was a devoted Air Force wife.   She loved the military lifestyle that provided the opportunity to live and travel both domestically and internationally.  She readily adopted local customs and easily made friends wherever she lived, forming cherished lifelong relationships from each duty station.   She was fluent in French, could converse in Italian, and threw in a few spicy words in German when the occasion was right.  She was incredibly organized.  She could pack and unpack an entire house in a week.  And that,  coupled with her interior decorating skills, could make any home look worthy of a magazine layout within that same week.  She was a resilient and determined  woman having overcome many challenges in her lifetime.  Beth, proud of her Italian heritage,  maintained close ties with her distant relatives in Italy throughout her lifetime.

She also had amazing recall of her life and could keep us entertained for hours telling stories that included an extensive cast of characters, both famous and infamous.  She particularly enjoyed talking about her younger years in Dallas and her antics with her siblings, cousins, Zios and Zias and experiences while attending Ursuline Academy. Some of these were surely embellished, but of course, we enjoyed them just the same.  Most importantly, she loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything. She had a kind and giving heart and we will miss her.

Rest in peace.  We love you.
