IN LOVING MEMORY

Estella Ann Christakos

Jan 12 2002 - Jun 10 2024

Estella Ann passed away on June 10, 2024, at the early age of twenty-two. She was born in Plano, Texas, to Nicholas and Kelli (Teig) Christakos on January 12, 2002.

Estella was a high school graduate of the Class of 2020 from Connections Academy in Holladay, Utah. She had a passion for animals and the natural world. Her passion led her to start pursuing a degree in Biology at Collin College in McKinney.

Estella's passion for animals motivated her to rescue cats and live as a vegetarian. She had two fur babies- a dog named Fern and a cat named Moon Pie. A tree frog named BMO rounded out her animal family.

The passions of Estella extended beyond animals. She loved to read, create, and make music. She played the bass guitar and ukulele. She had recently taken on the challenge to learn how to play drums and electric guitar, also. She had an eclectic taste, so she enjoyed the hunt for vintage treasures, particularly furniture and clothing. Estella loved beauty and filled her life with it.

Above all, Estella was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend. Her wit, creativity, goodness, and fearless approach to life touched the hearts of all who knew her. Those who had the privilege of knowing her will miss her and remember her always.

Estella is survived by her parents, Kelli Christakos and stepfather, Kyler Fillerup of Austin, Texas; Nicholas Christakos and stepmother, Alexandra of Fairview, Texas. She leaves behind her siblings, Ethan Christakos of Dallas, Texas, Phoenix Fillerup of Austin, Texas, and her sister, Dagny Christakos of Fairview, Texas. She is also survived by her grandparents, Michael and Toni Teig of Midway, Utah; grandfather, Daniel Christakos of New Braunfels, Texas; grandmother, Mickey Christakos of Dallas, Texas; and countless other loving family members and friends.

A memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel. The chapel is at 2525 Central Expressway North in Allen, Texas 75013.
