Erwin Doyle Williams of McKinney, Texas passed away on April 14, 2022, at the age of 83.  He was born September 23, 1938, to Erwin “Doc” and Imogene Williams of McKinney, Texas.  He graduated from Allen High School in 1958.  He went on to be employed with Allen ISD as a custodian and retired in 1997 after 35 years of service.  Doyle loved retirement, spending countless hours at the McKinney Senior Center playing cards and 42, and dominoes with his Anna group. Always an avid Allen Eagle sports fan, retirement gave him the time to enjoy it even more with his favorite sports being football, basketball and baseball.  In 2017 he was honored for his legacy with induction into the Allen Athletics Hall of Honor.  AISD Athletic Director Steve Williams presented Doyle his Hall of Honor ring which he wore with the utmost pride.  He was also an avid Texas Rangers fan, and year after year was always the ultimate optimist as the season began.

Doyle was a lifelong member of Wesley United Methodist Church in McKinney until its closing in 2016.  He especially loved his Sunday School Class and his devoted teacher and friend, June Halpin.  Doyle is survived by his devoted sister, Hattie Lair, his niece Julie Anderson and husband David of Argyle, Texas, nephew Lance Lair and wife Christie of McKinney, Texas, and great nephew, Tyler Lair, of McKinney, Texas.   He is also survived by several cousins, including two special cousins, Carole McGarry of Houston, Texas and Tommy Williams of Commerce, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law, Bill Lair and numerous friends.

Doyle led an amazing life and never met a stranger. His love for life, and his kind, friendly demeanor was felt by everyone who met him.
