Mr. Ervin Krempin, age 81, passed away September 20, 2006, after a short illness, in McKinney, Texas. He was born September 29, 1924, in Giddings, Texas, to Fritz Emanuel and Lillie Helen (Kluge) Krempin. Mr. Krempin served in the U. S. Marines during World War II. On December 29, 1946, he married Velma Ruth DeVaney of Anson, Texas. He was an accountant and a longtime resident of Abilene where he worked for Thornton's Department Stores for many years. He was a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church in Abilene. He is survived by his wife, Velma Krempin of McKinney, Texas, previously of Abilene; son, Earl Krempin and wife, Donna of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Ryan and Lauren Krempin. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 23, 2006, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Allen, Texas. Interment will be at DFW National Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. The family requests that anyone wishing to send flowers make donations to Southside Baptist Church, Abilene, Texas or their home church instead.
