IN LOVING MEMORY

Ernest William Falcon

Dec 28 1936 - Dec 22 2020

Ernest William Falcon Jr., 83, passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer on December 22, 2020.  He was born in Corpus Christi on December 28, 1936 and graduated from W.B. Ray High School in 1954.  After high school, Ernest served four years in the United States Air Force working in radar systems operations in both the U.S. and in Japan.  He married Barbara Capistran in 1965 and they had four children: Kenneth, Judy, Michael, and Jason.  Ernest received his college degree in electronics engineering from the University of Houston.  He worked for more than 30 years for Texas Instruments in Houston and Dallas in the area of semiconductor fabrication.  Ernest was a longtime resident of Allen, Texas.

He was a devoted husband and a caring father.  He instilled a love of learning and a strong work ethic in each of his children.  Ernest and Barbara enjoyed traveling around the U.S. and Europe and spending time with their children and their four grandchildren: Katie, Anna, Cooper, and Abby.  He took care of everybody in his extended family and was always ready to help with car repairs, home improvement projects, and babysitting his grandkids.  His family and friends always looked forward to his barbecues, because he was a wonderful host and cooked the very best steak, chicken, brisket, and sausage.

Ernest loved to go on hunting trips with his brother, John in Texas, Georgia, and Montana.  He was also a lifelong learner and took several courses at community colleges post graduate and in retirement including classes in foreign languages and computer science.  Ernest was a member of the St. Jude Catholic Church community in Allen, Texas and was known for his kindness and compassion.

He was preceded in death by Barbara, his loving wife of 53 years, in 2018; parents, Ernest and Fela; sister, Lily; and brothers, Andrew and Robert.

Ernest is survived by his brother, John and John’s wife, Irma; son Kenneth and husband, Todd; daughter, Judy and husband, Darrin; son, Michael and wife, Jeannie; and son, Jason and wife, France; along with his grandchildren: Katie, Anna, Cooper, and Abby.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 18, 2021 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 N. Greenville Ave., Allen, Texas 75002.
