I knew Gene 40 years ago when we were in high school and college and I was lucky to talk to him a few times over the years. I can’t believe he is gone! I know how much he loved and cherished his family—his wife, daughter and son. I am so sorry for your great loss. Gene was the smartest person I know, and yet he was very sensitive, and idealistic— his absence is a loss to the world. Thinking of you—Ann B. Ann (Walters) Boss, November 19, 2017 Glad I was able to know you even if for a short couple of years. Your witty humor and always cheerful attitude is what I will remember the most. Prayers to your wife and family Rest well Gene James Manion, November 17, 2017 I had the wonderful experience of getting to work with Gene for several months while in the Middle East. Gene would utilize me as the mechanical piece that did the connecting and typing and Gene would provide the Brain Power. He was awesome to work with. I remember his passion for reading and having a beer to relax. Gene was never in a hurry. His sense of humor could always be counted on - even when I was the only one laughing. I will miss Gene's overwatch and his passion for life - not just work. Darrell Rogers, November 16, 2017 Ana, Alex and Matt ~ There are no words I have that can make your loss even a little better but please always know how very much I love you all and will always be here for whatever you might need. When you look at the sky please find a star and know that Gene is smiling at you, probably with Jerry and they are watching over you ~ always. My heart hurts with you and I will miss Brother Gene so much and he will stay in my heart always. My thoughts and prayers are with you now and will be for be for the hard times you have ahead of you. All my Love ~ Always, Debbie
Debbie Thorne, November 16, 2017 To all - When I think of you and of your family I remember kindness & warmth. I remember laughter. I remember love and family. To feel only the positive aspect of one's experience with others is such a precious gift that you all give. I am profoundly sorry for your loss. My heart knows that each of you and the lives you go on to live carry forever that part of him that you have within you and all of the gifts he gave to you. You are in my thoughts.
