Erin Taylor Davis of Plano passed away on July 8, 2023 at the age of 61. Erin was born on September 19, 1961, the youngest of four children, to Michael Taylor and Elizabeth (Betty) Taylor in Houston, Texas.
Erin attended Houston public schools and graduated from John Foster Dulles High School in 1980. She then attended Tyler Jr. College, in Tyler, Texas, where she pursued a business degree, graduating in 1983. While at Tyler Jr. College she met her future husband, Patrick Davis, and they were married on September 6, 1986.
Erin found her passion working in the medical field and made it her career, working twenty-five years for HCA at Medical City of McKinney. Throughout those years she progressed through the ranks to become the Director of Patient Safety and an important member of the Physician Peer Review process. Her contagious smile, positive attitude, strength in principles, and a desire to help others made her a natural fit for these tasks, and this is echoed by the people who worked with her and around her during these years. Erin’s other passion in life was her family. Throughout the years both Erin and her husband Patrick spread their love to anyone who wanted it and in turn built a large extended family, including many children who would in turn refer to Erin as either “Mom” or “Momma E”. Erin touched so many hearts, in so many different ways, and she will be greatly missed by many.
Erin is survived by her husband Patrick Davis, son Austin Davis, daughter Abbey Davis and numerous nephews, nieces-including her beloved Lauren Fitzgerald who was like a daughter to her, and extended family and friends. Siblings, Michael Taylor, Patrick Taylor, and Colleen Moreland.
