IN LOVING MEMORY

Erin Cordea Carter

Aug 25 1993 - Jul 08 2024

Please read Isaiah 57: 1-2

Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.

Erin Cordea Carter, age 30, of Little Elm, Texas, passed away on July 8, 2024. She was born on August 25, 1993, in Greenville, Mississippi, to Eric Cornell Carter and Patricia Ann (Conner) Carter. Erin committed her life to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 14, 2008 at Temple of Faith Christian Chapel under the ministry of Dr. Jerome McNeil, Jr.. Erin spent her childhood in Plano and Frisco, Texas, where she graduated from Frisco Lone Star High School in June of 2013.

Erin had a deep passion for music and embraced challenges with unwavering determination throughout her life. She found great joy in blasting her music and using communication devices, particularly her beloved Tobii, to make endless requests for Chick-Fil-A and other favorite things. Her Tobii also allowed her to express herself and connect with her family in meaningful ways. Erin was definitely a foodie, with pancakes and pastas ranking among her favorite dishes, accompanied by her cherished Coca-Cola!

A loving daughter, sister, cousin, and friend, Erin will be remembered fondly and deeply missed by Pat and Eric (mom and dad), Kaylan and Aaron (sister and brother-in-law), Aunt Shelley, Jamar, Michael, Alex, Ajene, Niamke, Janét, Jennifer, Chad and their children, Seidah and her children, Tara, Everett (cousins), Donna, Terrie, Gail, Ursula, Janet (aunts and their husbands) Mack, Manuel, Maxwell, and Dwayne (uncles and their wives). Her presence touched the lives of sooooo many - many that were loved and could not be named. She is leaving behind cherished memories that will long be engrained in our hearts and minds. Her smile was the prettiest, her laugh was infectious and will be missed beyond comprehension. We try our hardest to find joy in the fact that she’s protected by her grandparents, aunts and uncles in Heaven. She finally has the chance to use her voice to sing out loud with Grandma Venora! One can only imagine how beautiful her singing voice is and we’re sure they’re making fun and new music together as we speak!

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
