Enoch Braithwaite "Dickie" Dixon, Jr.

Enoch Braithwaite “Dickie” Dixon, Jr., age 83, of Pottsboro, Texas, passed away February 26, 2014.  He was born on September 15, 1930 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Enoch Braithwaite Dixon, Sr. and Gertrude (Yeager) Dixon. On February 5, 1953, Dickie married Jo Anne King in Dallas, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Dickie owned and operated Dixon Plumbing, the business his father started in 1914; he also owned and operated the McKinney Roller Rink for many years. Dickie was a member of the First Baptist Church of McKinney.

He is survived by his daughter, Jo Dixon of McKinney; son, Jimmy Dixon of Pottsboro; grandchildren, Andrea Culverhouse and husband Jason, Michelle Massey and husband Mike, all of Princeton, Texas; great grandchildren, Jack, Nolan, Lincoln, Jayse, Jasey, and Kaylee all of Princeton; sister-in- laws, Betty King and Betty Hickman, both of Wylie, Texas; brother-in-law, Robert King of Wylie; many other loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Dickie is preceded in death by his wife, Jo Anne Dixon; parents, E.B. and Gertrude Dixon; sisters, Mary Kathryn Coplen and Peggy Bronson. 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2014, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Rev. Stan Fike officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
