Ennis "Bobby" Harrison

Ennis “Bobby” Lee Harrison was born in Douglassville, Texas on November 8, 1947. He was the son of the late Enise Harrison and the late Vivian “Vera” May Jackson Miles. He received his education in Texarkana and Greenville, and then graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Greenville, Texas, in 1967.  On July 16, 1968, Ennis “Bobby” Lee Harrison married Roxie Ann Pitts; they were married for 51 years. Also, in 1968, Bobby was drafted into the United States Army and deployed to Germany then Honorably Discharged in 1970. Bobby later attended Eastfield College in Mesquite. Bobby and Roxie had six children, but many others were a part of his beautiful family. He was a loving husband, present father, favorite uncle, fun PawPaw to his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and mentor to many others. Everyone was welcomed in his heart and after many years of employment, he retired in 1993 from Raytheon in Greenville, Texas. He was loved by many people, from the students to his coworkers, who were all greeted with a joyful smile.

Ennis “Bobby” Lee Harrison accepted Jesus Christ in 1972 at a Full Gospel Holy Temple Church Revival in Greenville, Texas. He was later baptized in Full Gospel Holy Temple Church of Dallas by the late Apostle Dr. Lobias Murray. He became a member of the Full Gospel Holy Temple Church of Greenville under the leadership of Elder Adell and Evangelist Etta Williams. He was very active and a faithful servant from the usher board, FGHT Choir, to the parking lot attendant, technical support, etc.  Later on in life, he became a member of Full Gospel Holy Temple of Mckinney, Texas, under the leadership of Pastor Carl Pierce and First Lady Evangelist Dian Pierce. As a faithful member, he was first to get there and often times being the last member to leave with Pastor Pierce.

Bro. Harrison was a man that knew the Word, lived the Word, and stood on the Word of God. Everyone knew his strong faith in God kept him despite life’s obstacles. He believed in God with his whole heart and was faithful to His will. People were drawn to his beautiful smile, his joyful spirit, and the love he showed toward others. A big celebration took place, when people gave their lives to Christ which made his soul so happy.

Ennis “Bobby” Harrison leaves behind to cherish his memories and celebrate his life devoted wife, Roxie Ann Harrison; children, Rodney Lee Harrison, Tabatha Piper and husband Alan, Stephanie Harrison, Tomika Crosby and husband, Melvin, Kenneth Harrison and wife, Jodi, Corey Harrison and wife, Sara, and Tamatha Smith and husband, Byron; siblings, Michelle Priest and husband, Airic, Rita Collins, and Leonard Harrison and wife, Cynthia; stepmother, Ms. Willie Pearl Harrison; siblings, Albert Harrison Sr. and wife, Repuncel, Bobby Harrison, Oscar Harrison, Nelly Harrison, Joelinda Robert and husband, Earl, Gwendell Irving and husband, Joe, Joe Nathan Harrison, and Andrew Harrison; 25 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Ennis “Bobby” Harrison was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Betty Ruth Lee and Leevon "Punkin" Allen.

 A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Ridgecrest Church, 6801 Wesley Street, Greenville, Texas 75402. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Friday, December 13, 2019 to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
