Emma Mae Stinson

Emma Mae (Spears) Stinson, age 87, of Mt. Vernon, Texas, passed away April 21, 2018.  Emma was born October 9, 1930, in McKinney, Texas, to Edgar Thomas and Florence Villa (Epps) Spears.  She grew up in the  Chambersville and Lucas communities before graduating from Wylie High School.  Emma married James Aaron Stinson in 1955 and they raised their daughters in Irving, Texas.  James and Emma retired and moved to Lake Cypress Springs.  Emma was known for her love of family as well as flowers and baking.  She loved the Lord and she always saw the good in people.  

She is survived by her daughters, Velinda Allen and husband, Jacky of Mt. Vernon, Texas and Jana Dunaway and husband, Jack of Yukon, Oklahoma; grandchildren, John Aaron Partain and wife, Megan, Michael David Partain and wife, Dawn, Cora Feehan and husband, Tony, Sam Dunaway and wife, Heather, Aaron Dunaway and wife, Logan, Laura Dunaway, Paul Dunaway and wife, Elizabeth, Thomas Dunaway and wife, Candy, and Louise Huckeby and husband, Mike; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Sariah, Christian, Sydney, Alexis, Sadie, Layne, Penny, Aria, Emma, Damien, Ava, Haigyn, Axton, Haizley, Layla, Cody, Heidi, Julia, Danica, Noah, and James; sisters, Nancy F. Black and Villa Jean Tiller and husband, Lynn; sister-in-law, Sue Spears; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Aaron Stinson, brothers, Glenn Spears and Bobby Spears, and sisters, Evelyn Watson and Mary Ann Hudgins.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.  Interment will follow at Fitzhugh Cemetery in Forest Grove Community, Texas.
