Emma Dean (Sadler) Dabbs of Norman, Oklahoma, formerly of Allen, Texas passed away on July 7, 2017 at the age of 81. She was born on August 18, 1935 to Alvie and Ethelene (Doss) Sadler in Blytheville, Arkansas. Emma married Yiser Dean Dabbs on February 28, 1952 in Salome, Arizona. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Emma was always side by side with her kids in church every week. She was devoted to the community and always helping those who needed it above all else.
Emma is survived by her children, Debbie Jones and husband, Tom of Wanette, Oklahoma, Richard Dabbs and wife, Debbie of Georgetown, Texas, Lori Dorsett and husband, Bob of Austin, Texas, Becky Cheek and husband, Jerry of Norman, Oklahoma, Sandy Monzingo and husband, Jeff of Pflugerville, Texas and Roy Dabbs and wife, Kim of Chandler, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jennifer, Tommy, Amy, Eric, Leta, Laurie, Bob Jr., Tom, Travis, Tami, Travis, Sarah, Clay, Cory, Micheal and Nicole; sisters, Janette Davis of Idaho, Dorthy Beck of Georgetown, Dema Tomerlin and husband, Doug also of Georgetown; great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and numerous other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvie and Ethelene Sadler; her husband, Dean Dabbs; and her grandson, Cory Monzingo.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 14, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
