IN LOVING MEMORY

Emilio Escobedo

Aug 25 1950 - Jan 22 2024

Emilio Escobedo, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather, peacefully passed away on January 22, 2024, at the age of 73. Born on August 25, 1950, in Mexico to Gabriel Escobedo and Asuncion Martinez, Emilio's journey was marked by love, family, and a deep commitment to those he held dear.

Emilio embarked on a beautiful union with his beloved wife, Amparo Rodriguez, on February 15, 1975, in Mexico. The couple then embarked on a new chapter together, making Texas their home, where they would build a life filled with love and laughter. To this union, three daughters were born, bringing immeasurable joy and warmth to their family home.

A dedicated provider, Emilio worked tirelessly in various jobs to ensure the well-being of his family. His hard work and determination laid the foundation for a loving and supportive household. Emilio's legacy lives on not only through the love he shared but also through the values of hard work and dedication he instilled in his family.

Emilio found joy in simple pleasures, particularly his love for baseball and soccer. Whether playing or watching, these sports were more than hobbies—they were sources of joy, camaraderie, and shared moments with those he held close.

His spiritual journey led him to St. Michael's Catholic Church, where he found solace, community, and a place to nurture his faith. Emilio's presence was a comforting and grounding force within the congregation.

Emilio is survived by his loving wife, Amparo Escobedo, of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Sonia Escobedo of McKinney, Texas, Nancy Gardner and husband, Benjamin of Hudsonville, Michigan, and Aileen Escobedo of McKinney, Texas; his legacy continues through his adored grandchildren, Jasmine Escobedo, Hunter Gardner, Savannah Gardner, Logan Gardner, and Ryker Gardner; brothers, Juan Escobedo and wife, Janie, Rey Escobedo and wife, Carmen, Javier Escobedo and wife, Guillermina, and Raul Escobedo and wife, Geno; and a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gabriel Escobedo, Jr.
