Mrs. Elsie Smith, age 84, of Princeton, Texas passed away October 8, 2008, at her home. She was born on May 2, 1924, in Kentucky to John and Ina (Florence) Ledford. On April 8, 1939, she married Charlie Lee Smith in Phoenix, Arizona. Mrs. Smith was an assembler for Fisher Control in McKinney and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her children, Betty Malone of McKinney, Texas, Charlene Smith of Princeton, Linda Tovar of Saginaw, Texas and Tina Murphy of McKinney, Charles Lynn Smith and Angie Smith both of Princeton; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Her husband, Charlie Lee Smith and grandson, Jason Murphy preceded her in death. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, October 11, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
