At 83 yrs old, Elpidia Carrasco Molinar was surrounded by her loved ones when God’s angels came to take her on October 2, 2016. She fought a courageous battle with cancer. She refused to give up and fought until the end. Elpidia was born March 4, 1933, to Andres Carrasco and Lucia (Baeza) Carrasco in Presidio, Texas. She married Daniel Baca Molinar on February 23, 1953, in Plainview, Texas. Elpidia enjoyed going to casinos, craft shows, garage sales, but most of all, she looked forward to visits from her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her creativity, art skills, love of life and she never met a stranger. Elpidia dedicated her life to raising her children. She was a faithful member of the Catholic Church and always looked forward to after church breakfast gatherings.
Elpidia is survived by her children, Gloria Guerra and husband Ram, Dora M. McMillan, Irma Teaney and husband Steve, Jesse Molinar and wife Christine, Diana Miller and husband Barry, Tony Molinar and wife Liza, Adam Molinar and wife Tammie; grandchildren, Stephen, Angela, Jennifer, Toni, Jessica, Nancy, Stephanie, Sabrina, Whitley, Katie, Antonio, and Aleena; great-grandchildren, Addison, Sydney, Sylas, Julia, Alivia, Enzley and baby Tristan on the way; sister, Esperanza Molinar; and brothers, Henry B. Carrasco and Cheno B. Carrasco.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel B. Molinar and brother, Gilbert B. Carrasco.
The family will receive friends during a rosary on Sunday evening, October 9, 2016, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. A funeral mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 10, 2016, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in McKinney, Texas.
