IN LOVING MEMORY

Elohisa 'Ellie' Frías Eckmann

Apr 24 1937 - Jul 25 2022

If you have ever thought your life cannot go on: fear not, there are blessings yet to come.

If Elohisa ‘Ellie’ Frías Eckmann, born April 24, 1937, in Panama City, Panamá, to Benjamin Frías Ponce de León and Josefa Jaén Trujillo de Frías, could share with you one life lesson, it would be that message.

Ever proud of her American citizenship, earned at the age of 20, her service to this country included over 25 years of employment in the United States Civil Service Commission and over 30 years ministering to its people.

Her legacy survives in James Harders, her devoted husband of 35 years, her beloved children, Linda Arnold (Dan), Adam Leddy (Angela), John Leddy (Suzanne), Gina Wells (Scott), Lawrence Eckmann, her beloved step-children, Steven Harders (Robyn), Thomas Harders (Brandi), Patrick Harders (Laura), and Rebecca Railey (Steven), as well her many grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, and those to whom she was an unfaltering friend, a cherished soul-sister, and a surrogate grandmother

It is impossible to adequately describe the blossoming gardens of strength and wisdom that survive in those who were graced with knowing Ellie.  Beloved by any who met her, every encounter left behind the desire to laugh as loud and love as fiercely as Ellie.

In her countless lessons and endless stories, we can carry a piece of her resilient spirit with us always.  Dance in your kitchens, laugh when your faith is tested, and take care of everyone you meet.  Let every moment of your life bring praise to your Heavenly Father and face the long nights of sorrow with an indomitable spirit.

Do not mourn her reunion with her beloved Jesus, but celebrate your memories of her life and ensure her legacy reaches generations yet to come.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.

The family will receive family and friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
