Elmer Lee Stuckey of Leonard, Texas, passed away April 15, 2022, at the age of 67. He was born on February 1, 1955, to Robert Turner Stuckey and Thelma Janice Gentry Stuckey in Gainesville, Texas. He attended school in Sadler and served in the Navy. Elmer married Dorothy Howell on April 13, 1990, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. They recently celebrated their 32nd anniversary. Elmer was a mechanic by trade and could fix anything with an engine. He built hot rods and was involved in drag racing when he was younger. He loved to work on and rebuild old trucks. His favorite hobbies were collecting and trading pocket knives, watching bull riding, and old westerns. He was a member of The Church of Christ.
Elmer is survived by his wife, Dorothy Stuckey of Leonard, Texas; daughters, Cynthia Blair of Leonard, Jennifer Wright and husband Stephen of Leonard, Jamie Stuckey of Sherman; son, Jerad Stuckey and wife Jennifer of Sadler; grandchildren, Alyssa Latimer, Kallie DeBord, Peighton Bunch, Spencer Wright, Shelby Wright, Madison Stuckey, Alex Stuckey, Aiden Robinson, and Ethan Robinson; and great grandchildren, Olive Bunch, Jude Bunch, Indie Bunch, Wrynlee Wright, and Bennett Luedke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Thelma Stuckey; and his siblings, Andy Stuckey, Crystal Stuckey, and Mary Nell Stuckey.
There will be a celebration of life from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on April 29, 2022 at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home, 701 N Cedar Street, Leonard, Texas 75452.
