Elmer “Tug” Clemons age 81, of McKinney, Texas passed away on May 21, 2009. He was born on January 30, 1928 in Westminster, Texas to Gilbert and Mable Louise (Shelton) Clemons. On September 15, 1956 he married Flora Marie Harris in Texas. He worked as a Machinist at Raytheon and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Runner and husband Ronny of Garland, Texas; sons, Mike Hughes and wife Gail of Princeton, Texas; David Hughes of Teague, Texas; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sister, Lillie Mae Gober of Fort Worth, Texas and three nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Clemons, son, Douglas Hughes; grandsons, Jason Hughes and David Hughes. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, May 24, 2009 in the Chapel at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas with Rev. Frank Purser officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
