Ella Mae Webb

Ella Mae Sims Webb was born May 13, 1938 in Whitewright, Texas to William Martin Sims and Celestia Mittie Deaton Sims. She died Sunday, December 25, 2016 at West Lake Healthcare Residence in Mesquite, Texas at the age of 78. She was a resident of Garland, Texas.

Ella was a graduate of Whitewright High School. She later married Clarence Woodson, Jr. on September 19, 1958, with whom she had two children, Lynn Ann and Keith. She married Earl Eugene Howerton in June of 1966. He died in an accident on November, 16, 1970. She then married Harlan Webb, Sr. in June 1971, with whom she had her daughter, Lori.

Ella worked for several electronics companies including, Texas Instruments in Richardson, Honeywell Electronics in Richardson, Garret Electronics in Garland and Nytec Electronics. She later did childcare and eldercare for several years.

Ella accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 15 in a revival meeting at First Baptist Church in Whitewright, Texas. She was a member of Rodgers Baptist Church in Garland for 30 years. She then became a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Garland.

Ella lived a full and active life. She spent most of her time outdoors gardening and bird watching. She loved flowers and often transplanted flowers from her home to yours. She had a soft spot for the little feathered friends and spoiled them with seed everyday. She was loved and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by daughters, Lynn Ann Woodson Yow and husband Travis of Mesquite, Lori Elaine Webb Norman and husband Tim of Flower Mound; grandchildren, Amanda, Jennifer, Tammy, Brian, Marla, Keith Jr., Averi, Finley, and Luke; great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Elijah; sister, Mary Sue Franklin of Garland; ex-husband, Harlan Webb, Sr.; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Clarence Woodson, Jr. and Earl Howerton; son, Marvin Keith Woodson; brother, Melvin Sims.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Houston Garner. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright, Texas.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 1:00pm until service time at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright, Texas.
