Mrs. Elizabeth S. Smith, age 80, of Plano, Texas, passed away November 15, 2004, at her home. She was born June 5, 1924, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Alfred Bemrose and Elizabeth Charlotte (Crawford) Stewart. She married Edward Oliver Smith on September 30, 1945, in Oklahoma City. Mrs. Smith was a medical technologist and a member of Ph Beta Phi sorority at Oklahoma State University. She was of the Methodist faith. She is survived by her husband, Edward O. Smith of Plano, Texas; daughter, Sydney Smith Covey and son-in-law, Bruce D. Covey of Parker, Texas; and grandchildren, Lindsay S. Eubank and Megan M. Eubank also of Parker, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Stewart M. Smith; and sister, Dorothy Haffner. Memorial Services will be held at George Carroll and Sons Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas, on Saturday, November 20, 2004, at 1:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the hospice program, Odyssey Healthcare, 13800 Montfort Drive, Ste. 300, Dallas, Texas 75240.
